Boothbay Harbor, Maine is your sailing port of departure for a private scenic cruise on a classic sailboat with a USCG licensed Captain seven days a week. A three hour drive from Boston, where downeast Maine sailing begins! We sail  around many offshore Islands amid seals, dolphins and maybe a pod of whales, alongside lobstermen hauling their traps in old wooden boats as their grandfathers have!
You may sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty of sailing Maine's downeast coast, sailing past old lighthouses, offshore Islands and a seal colony during your private sailing adventure. Imagine lounging on deck as you sail past picturesque, rocky islands as waves crash with a thunderous sound. If you prefer, take a turn at the helm, trim the sails and feel the power of wind and water course through your mind and body. Sailing lessons are available tailored to your level of knowledge. Photographic opportunities abound with the chance to see whales, dolphins, seals and a never ending supply of waterfowl in their natural habitats. Visit our "Ships Log" to read about our past guests "Maine Sailing adventures", written by them! Visit offshore islands, anchor in secluded coves while you are pampered with twin lobsters and experience the natural beauty of Maine's coastal wildlife. Whatever your interests, your time aboard will be very special. Your very private cruise will be the highlight of your summer vacation

The discerning summer visitor will delight in the pristine surroundings, where the Maine woods meet the rocky outcrops of the Atlantic shore.

"Goddess of the Sea"
  by Judy Hamilton
Come sail away to heaven, on the Goddess of the Sea,
Explore exotic islands, where your soul will be set free.
From June through mid October, our cruises will embark,
To take you to a paradise, that's sure to steal your heart.
Some visits last for hours, many last for days,
Captain Frank will customize, you're sure to be amazed!
"Ode to Rope"
As I cast off for that very first time,
The "rope" in my hand has now become "line".
And hauling the sails to the top of the mast,
That "rope", now a "halyard", holds strong, taught and fast.
Then sailing in brisk winds, full force on a beat.
The sails are trimmed in by that "rope" that's a "sheet".
And now at my anchorage with sails safely stowed,
I trust in that "rope", that now serves as a "rode".
Through all my life I will never lose hope,
Of a reason or time to play with a rope.

      "Sea Fever"
     By John Masefield

I must go down to the seas again,
to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship
and a star to steer her by,
And the wheel's kick and the wind's song
   and the white sail's shaking,
And a gray mist on the sea's face
   and a gray dawn breaking.

I must go down to the seas again,
for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call
   that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day
   with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume,
   and the sea-gulls crying.

I must go down to the seas again
   to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull's way and the whale's way
   where the wind's like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn
   from a laughing fellow rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream
   when the long trick's over.
